The insoles come in grey possum fur with stiffened felt soles in various sizes.
The most comfortable and softest of insoles you will ever experience, particularly for walking shoes. The fur does not freeze and is machine washable. It is important that they fit your shoes snugly so if there is any excess just trim with scissors. The possum fur insoles come in grey possum fur and are glued onto felt soles to help them hold in place in your shoe.

The brushtail possum is a small marsupial with a coat of unique, valuable fur. The secret of this fur’s warmth is its hollow structure, an attribute found in only one other species – the polar bear. With air trapped inside the fibre the fur provides sumptuous warmth, natural insulation and incredible lightness. In New Zealand this possum is also a major threat to our native wildlife and its use in high-end fashion helps bolster our country’s conservation efforts.
Shipping & Delivery
Bear Cottage is based in New Zealand, but ships internationally to Australia and the rest of the world. Delivery timeframes vary, but items are usually dispatched within 1 week, with our made-to-order products, including possum fur throws and bedspreads, shipped within 4-8 weeks. Other fur items are made up so allow up to 1 – 2 weeks to send except for insoles which are 1 or 2 days. Our shipping costs are based on weight and do not include any taxes or duties that may apply at customs. Prices are in NZD.
